Introduction to Karu Bushcraft for women

On the “Introduction to outdoor skills” course intended for women, you will learn vital outdoor skills, how to move around in nature and how to prepare food over an open fire. You will spend the night in a self-made accommodation or in a tent.


For whom?

For women who are interested in nature and outdoor skills, and who want to learn more by taking a short course. Training does not require any special physical characteristics and is not heavy physically, but we will move around outdoors during the course


You will try the following skills:

  • Handling an axe, saw and knife

  • Making fire

  • Temporary accommodation

  • Basics in using a map and compass

  • Preparing food over an open fire

  • Hygiene outdoors

  • First aid

To be noted:

Clients will stay the night in a temporary accommodation built during the course, weather permitting. In cold weather it is possible to stay the night in heated tents. Clients must take out insurance and have a sleeping bag, mattress and seasonal clothing. Attendees must be in a normal state of health.
