Karu Bushcraft Advanced

During this course, you will expand your outdoor skills and learn more about staying outdoors in a genuine environment. You will also learn traditional outdoor skills and how to use them every day. The surrounding wild nature and observing it are integral parts of the course.

You will stay the night in a tent or in similar terrain. The first and last nights of the course will be stayed in a cabin or hotel, so that you are well-rested before and after the course. 

For whom?

The “Karu advanced outdoor skills” course is intended for outdoor enthusiasts who already possess basic outdoor skills. If you have completed a course similar to “Karu basic outdoor skills,” you can take part in this course.

 
 

You will learn the following skills during the week:

  • Making fire

  • Handling an axe

  • Wood carving

  • Working with bark

  • Fishing

  • Using traps

  • Temporary accommodation

  • Preparing food over an open fire

  • Preparing a campsite

  • Making a saw
  • Making a backpack

  • Tracking

  • Collecting water

  • Hygiene outdoors

  • First aid

To be noted:

Attendees will stay the night in a temporary accommodation built during the course, weather permitting. In cold weather it is possible to stay the night in heated tents. Clients must take out insurance and have a sleeping bag, mattress and seasonal clothing. Attendees must be in a normal state of health.
