Koli is the tallest fell in eastern Finland, and it played an important role in the birth of the Finnish identity. The unique landscape of this national park gave birth to myths, gods and legends, and has later been an inspiration to artists, authors and poets uncounted.

The Karu Koli´s Heritage tour rises to the summit from the shores of Lake Pielinen through fields and open lands. Along the way, you can witness the beauty of the changing landscape and learn how the Finnish people used to live in – and from – the forest.
